Overview of the Women's Resource Center
Who we are
The Women's Resource Center is a place of advocacy, support, and safety for all members of the UNM and greater community. Through an intersectional feminist model of empowerment, we offer educational, social, and cultural programming aimed at encouraging self-determination and community engagement.
We promote awareness and the advancement of women’s rights to ensure equity regardless of gender identity, sex, race, ability status, age, sexual orientation, economic class, or religious affiliation. We seek to facilitate understanding and mutual respect among all campus and community members to achieve social justice, as well as foster a positive UNM environment.
The Women’s Resource Center provides the tools and resources necessary to enhance success within academic, personal, and professional aspects of students’ lives.
What we offer

Six computers available for use and free printing up to 20 pages per day. Screen reading software is available. We are a family friendly space with toys, books, videos and games available for children to use.

Our book and video libraries contain information and writing on media literacy, gender roles and issues, sexual assault, dating and domestic violence, women in the global economy, women’s health, and much more. We also have a group room which is used for group and individual study.
