The American Cancer Society is the nationwide community- based voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem by preventing cancer, saving lives, and diminishing suffering from cancer, through research, education, advocacy, and services.

American Diabetes Association has information about diabetes and groups affected by diabetes including, women, men, African Americans, Native Americans, and Hispanics. 

American Heart Association works to reduce disability and death from cardiovascular diseases and stroke. 

Anxiety Disorders Association of America (ADAA) is a national, non-profit organization dedicated to informing the public about anxiety disorders. They also have a Women’s Initiative focusing on women and anxiety.

Birth Injury Guide  has resources such as information on birth injuries as well as offers support groups for families who have experienced a birth injury.

Cord Blood Banking an organization to promote awareness of the benefits of umbilical cord blood banking.

Girls’ Rights and Self-Advocacy in Health Carepublished by Georgetown University's School of Nursing, this resource is to help to empower young women to engage with their health care providers. It provides advice in regard to actions young women can take before, during, and after an appointment with a clinician in order to effectively advocate for themselves in a health care setting.

Hospice Foundation of American provides comfort and support to patients and their families as they face life-limiting illnesses. They also offer bereavement and counseling services.

Mesothelioma Cancer Alliance resources for patients and families.

Narcotics Anonymous community organization for recovery from addictions in a twelve step program. 

National Breast Cancer Coalition has information and educational resources on breast cancer. 

National Institute of Mental Health has a web accessible booklet on women and depression (this booklet is available in English or Spanish).

National Association of Anorexia Nervosa and Associated Disorders nonprofit organization for the prevention and alleviation of eating disorders. 

National Association of Lesbian and Gay Addiction Professionals prevention and treatment of alcoholism, substance abuse, and other addictions in the LGBTQ community. 

National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism conducts research on the impact of alcohol on health and wellbeing.

Sexual Recovery Institute an outpatient center dedicated to the treatment of sexual addiction and sexual compulsivity, also known as hypersexual disorders.
