 IMPACT:  Leadership and Mentorship Program

Are you entering your first year at UNM? Do you want professional, academic, and personal development opportunities alongside a mentor and supportive team at the Women’s Resource Center? Apply to IMPACT now! All genders welcome, IMPACT is not limited to women :)

This facilitated leadership program pairs first-year and transfer students with upper-level student mentors to foster personal growth, professional development, and educational success. Mentors and mentees meet one-on-one each week and all participants attend bi-weekly cohort meetings. Cohort meetings include professional and personal development activities, along with presentations from working professionals who share their knowledge, experience, and connections with program participants.

Some of our past cohort meetings and opportunities include:

- Financial Feminism
- Mental Health and UNM resources
- Resume building and cover letter writing
- Group crafting
- Study sessions/space to rant!
- Body positivity/body neutrality workshops
- Safe sex, consent, and healthy relationships
- Animal shelter volunteer day/doggy hike
